After 20 years of teaching in New York and Los Angeles, I've brought my approach to movement to Cartersville to create a space where people could reconnect with their bodies through mindful movement. As the first Pilates reformer studio in our area, we're passionate about introducing our community to the life-changing benefits of this practice.

Meet Nicole

With 20 years of experience teaching movement and Pilates, I've had the privilege of working with bodies of all types and conditions. From spinal conditions like stenosis, scoliosis, and herniated discs to pre and postnatal women, athletes, and those managing osteoporosis—each body has taught me something valuable about the art of movement.


My approach has often been described as "subtle" and "sneaky" because I focus on precision rather than big, sweeping movements. Don't be surprised if your muscles start shaking with just two inches of movement! That's where the magic happens.


I combine deep knowledge of biomechanics with classical Pilates repertoire, always adapting to the individual in front of me. My greatest joy is watching clients discover new strength and confidence in their bodies, especially during life's significant transitions.

  • What is Pilates & the Reformer?

    Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on core strength, flexibility, and overall body alignment. It enhances posture, balance, and muscle tone through controlled movements and mindful breathing.

  • Where are you located?

    We are located at: 32 W Main Street in Cartesrville, GA.

  • Is there parking?

    Yes AND you may have to walk. Please plan arriving a few minutes before your class time to allow for any issues (or trains). There is street parking and a parking deck on Main Street. Plenty of parking on Erwin Street and even behind the building (although we do not have a rear entrance).

  • Can I do this if...

    Oh man! Name the thing and Nicole likely has some level of knowledge in it. We always recommend Dr's approval for exercise of any kind. So go ahead and send your Doc an email to get the go ahead. And it's always helpful for us to know in advance, give us a heads up at info@mainstreetpilatesga.com

  • I want to come, but I can't make any of the times.

    Our studio is pretty new and class times are limited right now. If you and 2 friends or more are insterested in setting up a classes, please reach out to us at info@mainstreetpilatesga.com. We'll do the best we can to get you started!

  • Who is Nicole Watkins?

    Hi! I'm a Cartersville native and while I was away for 18 years, it's wonderful to be back home town. I lived in NYC (Brooklyn) and LA where I trained and taught a LOT among other pursuits like dancing and paying rent.  My husband and I moved back in 2021. We have two kids. And I'm delighted to continue to expand our community with Main Street Pilates.
